Guido Baligioni began practicing yoga in 2000. Since then he has explored different methods. The Iyengar method taught him alignment and the pursuit of perfection in the postures (asana). From Ashtanga he learned vinyasa, the connection of breath and movement, the pursuit of perfection in the transition from one posture to another, as well as the constant attention to a controlled breath (Ujjayi). Experience as a Power yoga teacher taught him how useful it can be to create new sequences and to go to your limits. By the Scaravelli method he learned how to leave the breath flowing naturally, and how, by using softness with ourselves and with our bodies, sometimes we can achieve more benefits and results than with forcing, pulling or pushing.
On his way, Guido has met many great teachers. For long periods he studied and continues to study (especially the Iyengar and Ashtanga methods), because he believes that a teacher is (and always will be) a student first. He continues to learn with seminars and workshops held by world-renowned teachers which provide him not only with an “upgrade”, but a personal enrichment. Apart from his studies with his teachers, he values self-study as well. Guido is convinced of this discipline and tries to do as much as possible in his spare time. Fond of philosophy and breathing techniques (pranayama), he seeks to unite all aspects of yoga learned from his teachers, from books and from his own experience: the postures (asana) and the pursuit of perfection of the pose even in a dynamic flow; the movement and the art of following the breath and finding beauty and grace in the transition between two certain positions and; breathing (pranayama) and the constant attention to breathing and yoga locks (bandha). It is when one sits and draws attention to the breath (pranayama) that they begin a deeper search to discover themselves.

Tess C Obermeier has been a practitioner of yoga since she was 15 years old. Her first yoga classes were at a local community center in her hometown of Chicago, Illinois. She took a liking to the movements, the positions and the way her body felt. She wanted to learn more. Slowly, as she kept returning to her mat, she became interested in trying different disciplines of yoga. She discovered Vinyasa Flow, Bikram, Hatha, Ashtanga and Iyengar. She learned different things in her research and became still more interested in the practice. Her practice gained momentum and she soon became a daily practitioner. Finding a mind-body connection and moving meditation has been what has kept her coming back to her mat. In Winter 2010 she enrolled in a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training course through a registered Yoga Alliance school in Chicago. In Spring 2011, as soon as she finished, she began teaching. Since then Tess has completed over 450 hours in continued training in Power Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Sculpt and Hot Yoga. Tess is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) and has led many Teacher Training courses where she is able to pass on her knowledge to future yoga instructors. She has had the honor to teach in places such as Chicago and New York City in the United States, Sweden and Italy.  In her classes, Tess concentrates on correct alignment and creating a flow for all students. She likes to challenge her students to help them to grow in their own practice. Tess creates space in her classes for love, growth and fun. Nothing is so satisfying as watching a student deepen their practice. In April 2016 she and Guido Baligioni opened Yoga Garage with the intent of sharing yoga in its growing community of Florence, Italy.
